Inspired by the film set of the film “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari”, the conceptual model captures the constructivist approach to architecture, which emphasizes the boldness of forms over mere functionality and subjective aesthetics
Brief:
The practice of drawing is inseparable from the processes of architecture and design. Thinking through making and thinking through media avail a critical space for seeing, understanding, evaluating, and reflecting.
Goals:
• Develop a material approach and light to architectural representation.
• Employ analog, digital, and hybrid techniques for a layered, evocative drawing.
• Work critically through media and find the appropriate tools and techniques.

Working with large-scale paper models, understand the relationship between physical space and its two-dimensional representation in a photograph. The physical space of the all-white toned model is understood through its corners, ‘drawn’ by light and shadow. The photo of the model becomes an abstract ‘wireframe’, a two-dimensional representation of the space.
